DrayTek Vigor2927: the new load-balancing router is here !

LEXIS SA, official distributor of DrayTek in Greece and Cyprus, announces the new Dual-WAN load balancing router, Vigor2927, specially designed for SMBs. 

The Vigor2927 series includes wired and wireless routers which support 2 Gigabit Ethernet WAN ports, 5 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and 2 USB ports for connection of either 3G / 4G / LTE modem (for use as a backup connection) or a printer, while an important feature of series is that WAN2 can be converted to LAN offering a total of 6 GbE LAN ports. WAN ports can be set either in Load Balancing mode, which is permanently active, or in Fail over mode, which is activated only in case the connection is lost or there is an increased load on the primary connection.

Both wireless models Vigor2927ac and Vigor2927Vac support 802.11ac Wave 2 protocol, while Vigor2927Vac features 2 FXS ports combining wireless connectivity with VoIP support. Among its special features Vigor2927 series supports 50 VPN tunnels, VPN trunking and flexible management of LAN ports based on 802.1qtags and MAC addresses.

To avoid network overload, Vigor2927 series supports QoS security features with VoiceVLAN and Surveillance VLAN to automatically detect call and video traffic with optimal sharing. Vigor2927 series features a built-in object-based and SPI firewall, DoS / DDoS attack prevention mechanism and content filtering, ensuring a stable, fully reliable and flexible network.

In addition, Vigor2927 series can also manage up to 10 switch and up to 20 DrayTek access point, operating as AP controller.
