VigorSwitch G1282 & P1282: new 28-port Layer 2 Web Smart Switch by DrayTek!

LEXIS SA, the exclusive representative of the leading network manufacturer DrayTek Corp., announces the availability of new Layer 2 Managed Web Smart Gigabit Switch models. The VigorSwitch G1282 and VigorSwitch P1282 models include 28 ports which are specially designed for secure and stable network in small and medium-sized enterprises.

The harware interface of the models includes 24 x 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports RJ-45 and 4 x Gigabit Ethernet / SFP Combo ports, while in the VigorSwitch P1282 model, the 24 Gigabit ports are PoE / PoE + with 400 Watt PoE power budget.

Both switches support up to 256 VLANs based on 802.1q tags, MAC addresses, as well as Link Aggregation up to 8 groups of 8 port members, allowing both the creation of a group and its connection to other switches or servers for higher speeds and connectivity. They include security features to avoid network congestion and IP conflicts (Preventions & Detection), but also QoS with Voice VLAN and Surveillance VLAN for the automatic detection of call traffic and video with optimal sharing. By creating subnets in different working groups, branches and departments of employees or visitors, depending on their requirements, ensure a stable, reliable and flexible corporate network.

In addition, VigorSwitch G1282 and P1282 models support the ONVIF protocol with live video streaming from a camera and its management via the Switch Web Interface (GUI). Like all DrayTek switches and access points, they are manageable through the central router web interface and VigorACS central management software, through which network administrator can view, configure and make massive changes to all connected DrayTek devices.
